In 2011, Public Record Office Victoria was funded to run a series of digitising workshops for community organisations.
At these "Just Digitise It" workshops, participants learned how to digitise their cultural collections and gain experience in the process of digitisation from planning through to publishing online.
We developed a downloadable guide to digitising projects and video demonstration (see the sidebar of this page) to assist groups with their digitising projects. We also recommend looking at the Digital Access to Collections website, set up by several national cultural heritage sector bodies.
Public Record Office Victoria recognises the support of the Community Heritage Grants Scheme. Community Heritage Grants are jointly funded and supported by the National Library of Australia, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Office for the Arts, National Archives of Australia, National Film and Sound Archive and the National Museum of Australia.
